Maya

What is Maya?

Maya is a 3D modeling, rendering and animation package from Autodesk. It is similar to 3D Studio Max but has a different customer group. Maya is more interesting for fully animated movies than live action movies with computer effects. Maya offers the opportunity to use the integrated scripting language Maya Embedded Language(MEL).
